The Heat is On!

It's that time of year again when it's beginning to get SCORCHING HOT!!! The gossip on the island is that with humidity it "feels" like 120 degrees outside. I don't know if it's that hot, but it's definitely boiling outside. So I start thinking about ways to keep my hair off my neck and lighter, more breathable fabrics and all in all, just being as comfortable as I can in the heat.

Casual Friday

I have the most fun with my wardrobe on casual Friday's, mostly because I'm not a fan of office wear. I find corporate clothing choices bland and uncomfortable, though I do try to keep my office dressing as fashion-forward as I can. But on Friday's, I can usually wear something I really like that doesn't involve pleated suiting skirts, pencil skirts or slacks. I can rock jeans and a funky necklace, which is what I really love!

A close-up of my necklace, which I love! This outfit is all about a good pair of jeans and a slightly pricey accessory being used to up the anty on an otherwise bargain basement outfit. I love the look of mixing turquoise with a chocolate brown - I think the color combination is great and really brings turquoise down a notch.

Excuse the hair in this photo... when I run out of time, I opt for the Carrie Bradshaw poofy messy curly ponytail, which I can now see after photographing it, that this isn't my best look, but it suits my purpose for time occasionally.
